Dear That's Dancing Families,

Welcome or Welcome Back!

Today marks the beginning of Season 29 at That's Dancing, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome both our returning families and those joining us for the very first time.

As we begin another season, we find ourselves reflecting on how fortunate we are to be part of such an incredible community. For nearly three decades, families have trusted us with one of the most important responsibilities imaginable—the opportunity to educate, inspire, and help shape the lives of their children through the performing arts. It is a privilege we never take for granted.

Throughout the past 28 seasons, we've had the honor of watching thousands of young dancers discover their passion, develop confidence, overcome challenges, and grow into remarkable young adults. Many have gone on to become professional performers, educators, choreographers, business owners, and leaders within their communities. While we are incredibly proud of those accomplishments, what means the most to us is knowing that the lessons learned inside our studios—discipline, perseverance, responsibility, resilience, kindness, and teamwork—continue to serve them long after they've left our dance floors.

That has always been our mission.

At That's Dancing, dance is about so much more than learning choreography. Every class is an opportunity to build character, confidence, work ethic, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts. Our goal is to challenge every dancer while creating an environment where they feel supported, encouraged, and inspired to reach their fullest potential.

We believe every child's journey is unique. Dancers develop at different rates, and our faculty carefully places students where they will be appropriately challenged while continuing to build strong technical foundations, artistry, and confidence. We encourage families to trust the process, celebrate progress, and remember that dance is not a race. Meaningful growth takes time, consistency, patience, and a genuine love of learning.

This season, we are thrilled to officially welcome Ms. Luz Monica Guerrero to the That's Dancing faculty. Luz Monica brings extensive experience in ballet, pointe, repertoire, character dance, curriculum development, and dancer mentorship. Her knowledge, professionalism, and passion for teaching make her an outstanding addition to our faculty, and we know our dancers will benefit tremendously from learning from her.

We are also proud to celebrate Ms. Leah Stricker as she begins her sixth season with That's Dancing. Over the past five years, Leah has become an integral part of our faculty and studio family, and we are excited to watch her continue inspiring and mentoring our students in her role as a full-time faculty member.

Our faculty is truly the heart of That's Dancing. From the dedicated educators who have helped shape generations of dancers to the talented professionals joining our team, each instructor brings a unique background, passion for teaching, and commitment to helping every student reach their fullest potential. As our studio continues to grow, so does our commitment to providing an exceptional learning environment. We continually invest in our facility, technology, and educational programs to ensure our dancers have every opportunity to succeed in a safe, positive, and professional atmosphere.

One of the ways we support that environment is through our Closed Lobby Policy. During class hours, our lobby, bathrooms, and dressing room areas are reserved for registered students only. Parents of our younger dancers are always welcome to escort their child into the building and help them get settled before class begins. Once classes are underway, we ask that all non-students exit the facility.

This policy is not about limiting parent involvement—quite the opposite.

Every That's Dancing family has access to Spot TV, our secure live-streaming platform that allows you to observe your dancer's classes in real time from virtually anywhere. Whether you're at home, at work, or traveling, you can log in and watch class whenever you'd like. We believe this provides families with even greater access to their dancer's progress while preserving the focused, distraction-free classroom environment that allows students to do their best work.

If you haven't already activated your Spot TV account, simply log into your Jackrabbit Parent Portal and follow the prompts to sync your account before classes begin.

As always, the health and safety of our students remains one of our highest priorities. We ask families to keep dancers home if they are not feeling well and to send every student with a clearly labeled water bottle to class each day. Our studios are cleaned and disinfected regularly, and our air purification systems operate continuously to help maintain a healthy environment for everyone.

We also encourage every family to review the studio policies available in the Parent Portal. These are the same policies acknowledged during registration and include important information regarding attendance, tuition, dress code, studio procedures, health and safety expectations, and facility policies.
